Having visited Rajastan twice on holiday I had always been fascinated by its colourful, historical and soulful beauty. As a Hindu girl born and brought up in the UK I struggled to think of Venues in the the UK that would do the Indian wedding justice. Ultimately with each venue I checked out, I felt there was something very 'staged' about holding an Indian wedding in England against backdrops such as regency striped wallpaper and a knotted carpet. I decided a wedding in India was worth looking into particularly after reading about some foreigners (well ok, lets admit it- Liz Hurley!) having their weddings there. I did not get my hopes up since being foreign, I was sceptical of the less 'black and white' manner businesses appeared to function in India. I was nervous about not being in 'direct control' of the most important day of my life. Indeed, I did meet with a few wedding planning companies around India which were far from the high professional level I required to feel confident. As an example, I immediately discounted the first wedding planner I met for being 20mins late!

I came across regal weddings on this website and I was encouraged by the heartfelt testimonials which were possibly even written by people as fussy as me. Vijae knows weddings inside out from details of venues across India to how brides feel about their wedding make up! Vijae is a very good listener and was quick to gauge what I had been dreaming of for my wedding since I was child. I had ideas about my wedding that other wedding planners did not seem to get. I do not like multicolour and kitsch but I love a magnitude of fresh exotic flowers, spiritual 'other worldly' smells and star like fairy lights and candles. Food and music was naturally a priority for my husband! I absolutely loved the beautiful old fort where I got married and did not want to detract from its immense sense of history. I wanted everything to be immaculate, generous and unique for my guests but at the same time I did not want a 'flashy' wedding. Vijae sussed out my tastes almost immediately. However, maybe this is because he is cool, elegant and deeply creative!

Vijae arranged my wedding like a family member in that he was mindful of mounting costs whilst ensuring the best possible vendors maintaining the highest standards. Once I had allowed myself to trust Vijae I really did not have to worry or do much at all. Even the last minute requests were dealt with, what seemed to be around the clock.

In the end I was grateful for the non 'black and white' nature I perceive Indian business to frequently be done since my expectations were vastly exceeded. Regal weddings has my preferred method of working in that they have a long term business plan meaning people pay a very fair price for exceptional work which in my case was all my dreams coming true. That is why Regal weddings you deserve every good word that everyone says about you which will lead to many more fairy tale weddings. Vijae Singh you are an exceptionally talented guy and I am very lucky that I had you plan the happiest and most dreamlike days of our lives. Thank you from all of my family.

We’ve been back home for a week now, and can truly say that we are struggling to get India out of our heads. It’s such an amazing country and I’m so glad that we chose it as the venue for our wedding. Organizing a wedding isn’t easy, organizing it via the internet and email in a different country where you don’t have the luxury of jumping in your car and viewing the venue that you like the look of is even more daunting. You really are at the mercy of pictures on the internet and testimonials (like this one) which you hope are worth the paper they are written on. For me, the difficulty was letting go and putting my faith in Regal Weddings – but having been through the whole process now, I really had no need for any concern.

I can honestly say that Regal Weddings organisation and attention to detail totally exceeded my expectations on every level. From the venue sourcing and recommendations right through to the wedding events, everything was taken care of with minimal hassle and speed and efficiency. We were as surprised and delighted as our guests and were able to relax and enjoy every aspect of the wedding knowing that we were in very capable hands.

Their help and support even extended after the wedding, they were only a phone-call away when elements of our honeymoon itinerary changed due to a delayed train. Flight tickets were booked and organised with extreme efficiency and it gave us such peace of mind knowing that this level of support was always available to us during our travels.

India can be a frustrating country to be in at the best of times, but Regal Weddings and Travel Made Easy totally lived up to their names. Our thanks go out to Ankit, for putting up with me chopping and changing plans during the planning stage, Vijae for the event management, Manoj (the best driver we had in India by far) and Manoj of Travel Made Easy who even gave up his Sunday night to come and meet us when we arrived in Udaipur.

I truly do not know where to start, my heart is still beating fast from the exhilaration of our wedding. It was the most amazing time of our lives and it would not have been possible without you and your team.

Whilst researching where and how to get married in India we came across your website and knew instantly that any company with such a comprehensive, professional and organized site would be worth contacting. You replied to our enquiry within a matter of hours and happily offered us all the advice, support and information we required without any guarantee that we would work with you.

During our first meeting in Udaipur we were met by you and shown around the city and it’s wedding venues. We fell in love with the charm and romance of the surroundings. You spent the extra hours showing us all of the possibilities and made sure that our every need was taken care of. From that day onwards we felt that you were a company we could trust and rely on.

Your help, guidance and services were then put to the test when you had to work with me as I know I am a very difficult client. I wanted every single detail down to the napkins to be perfect. You sat with me during food tasting sessions, venue visits, dealt professionally with other suppliers and coordinated our meetings in a time efficient and no fuss manner.

An added value to your services was the logistical expertise that you were able to provide us with. You helped us make our wedding very easy for our guests to attend through enhancing our website with essential travel booking facilities. Our many guests from all over the world could book their internal flights, transport, city tours and hotels rooms directly from our website, this was really appreciated buy all of our family and friends.

Every request I gave you no matter how bazaar was taken care. How you managed to coordinate airport pick ups for 130 people arriving over 4 days on various airlines and different hotels I will never know, I’m just glad that I didn’t have to do it. Even emergencies like misplaced passports were taken care of by you.

Your thoughtful initiative at the time of our wedding made all the difference. The gesture of giving us a photographer at the first function, which you help us plan last minute and pulled it together in a day, was really appreciated by Gaurav and I and the Valentines Day roses for our guests was a small gesture with a big impact. Your sweet surprise gifts made me feel very special.

The three functions that you helped us organize were stunning. More fabulous than I could ever imagine and the feedback from our guests was, ‘The best wedding we have ever been to’. Everything was so perfect and a dream come true for us. The venues came to life with the decorations and lighting, it was unlike anything I had ever experienced before. I wish we could do it all over again.

We will always be extremely to you and the team and I really hope that we get another opportunity to see you again both on a professional and a personal level. Great confluence of cultures, feelings and of course two lifes.
Wedding took place at Jagmandir Island Palace following all the elaborated "Maharashtrian" rituals. After the ceremony, evening was filled with entertainment, dance and music.
