                                                        A Sample Itinerary of Regal Wedding (at Palace Venues in Udaipur)

Day 1
Arrival:
A Royal Welcome is organised at the hotels where the guests are welcomed in the traditional India style with aarti, tikka and garland & girls dressed in traditional attire showering rose petals, shehnai players create the mood for a regal wedding mood.

Each guest is individually escorted to their well-appointed room by our hospitality staff. Briefed on the heritage of the rooms and various facilities offered.

A welcome drink is served to the guests in the room or reception area (as per instructions) an activity brochure of the regal wedding informed about the details of events. A separate hospitality desk is set up at reception for the wedding function to assist the guests within the hotel premises and to sightseeing around the city.


Event: Lunch
Venue: Durbar hall


The Durbar Hall at Fateh Prakash Palace, Udaipur, one of the most majestic hall in India, has witnessed Formal Durbars (Royal Courts), State Banquets, Wedding Receptions and Royal parties through out the last century. The Durbar Hall is a glorious venue for indoor banquets. It is an ideal place to host Multi-cuisine buffets or sits down lunches to complement a Regal Wedding in Udaipur. Larger then life-size portraits of the Maharanas of Mewar, priceless paintings and gold inlaid weaponry adorn the walls of Durbar Hall. The ceiling has resplendent chandeliers and gold embroidered velvet canopies to feast your eyes on.

From the galleries that surround the Durbar Hall, one gets a magnificent view of the Lake Pichola, Jagmandir, Lake Place and the Sajjangarh Palace.

The first floor gallery of Durbar Hall houses the famous Crystal Gallery; probably the largest single private collection of crystal anywhere in the world.

Originally Maharana Fateh Singhji's residence, towering ramparts crowned with flagged turrets, sprawling balconies shielded by intricate chhatries, luxurious rooms styled in princely splendour with stunning views of Lake Pichola, and the town spread beneath it. The apartments around the awe inspiring courtyard hark back to the time, during Maharana Bhopal Singhji's reign, when it was used as a place for entertaining personal guests.

Recreating a Chaat food fun stall lining the waterfront further enhances a festive mood, Mehndiwalis do their bit to create fantasies on eagerly extended palms of the women present.

A mehendi celebration speaks itself regarding the royalty of that auspicious day which adds a new and pious colour not only on the palms but also in the new life of the ravishing bride.

In this afternoon the venues are adorned with perfect setting with Rangoli, Janked up with flowers is done at the entrance and around the lawn area. The artists with accompanying music, which lends to afternoon charm, perform a traditional welcome dance, and the mehendi girls are hired to apply henna on the palms of the interested ladies in various ethnic designs.

The guests mingle around enjoying drinks and snacks served by the hotel’s well-trained staff followed by the mouth-watering Mela food stall with spread of South Indian Delicacy, Chaat corner, Pasta corner, Continental food counter, Deserts stall and Fresh Fruit Stall.


Event: Sangeet
Venue: Zenana Mahal


Zenana Mahal: The former palace of the royal ladies is now splendidly transformed to host candle-lit banquets and ‘sangeet’ ceremonies during a Royal Wedding in Udaipur. The Zenana Mahal, an integral part of the City Palace Complex, was built in the early 1600s and has witnessed innumerable royal weddings. Today, you and your wedding guests could be revealing in the historic luxury of Zenana Mahal and enjoying the sumptuous banquets laid out by our chefs to pamper the palate with multi-cuisine fare.

The Zenana Mahal is located at the end of the royal complexes, with the large spacious court or the Laxmi Chowk in the center.

Rangoli with flowers is done at the entrance and all around the chosen venue, fairy lights are thrown over the shrubs and mashals are lit up. As evening progress, the tempo of dance and music increases and the guests are join in to enjoy and celebrate the auspicious evening. While the guests celebrate, Chefs give a final
Touch to piping-hot buffet with all its accompaniments in order. Dinner is announced at appointed hour and the staff ensures personalized services through the evening.
